The conservative movement witnessed a moment of raw grief and unshakable resolve Friday evening as Erika Kirk, widow of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, addressed the nation just two days after her husband’s assassination at the hands of a far-left extremist in Utah.
Escorted home by Vice President JD Vance aboard Air Force Two, Charlie’s casket arrived in Phoenix Thursday alongside Erika and the couple’s two young daughters. Less than 24 hours later, Erika stood at the podium beside her late husband’s empty chair—the same one from which he broadcast “The Charlie Kirk Show” to millions.
Her words cut through the silence of a mourning nation.
“Two days ago, my husband went to see the face of his Savior and his God. And one of the final conversations that he had on this earth, my husband witnessed for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now and for all eternity he will wear the glorious crown of a martyr,” she declared, her voice steady though filled with heartbreak.
