A disturbing new set of Justice Department records released Friday is sending shockwaves through Washington and the media world, after explosive allegations involving Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates surfaced in emails written by convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
The newly released documents, part of a massive tranche of DOJ records, include emails Epstein allegedly sent to himself in July 2013. In them, Epstein makes graphic and deeply troubling claims about Gates, including allegations involving sexual behavior, medical requests, and efforts to conceal personal conduct from Gates’ then-wife, Melinda Gates.
According to the files, Epstein appeared furious that Gates had distanced himself after years of association. One message describes Epstein as feeling “dismayed beyond comprehension” over Gates’ decision to end what Epstein called a six-year friendship.
In one particularly explicit passage, Epstein claimed Gates had made personal and secretive requests related to an alleged sexually transmitted disease.
“TO add insult to the injury you them (sic) implore me to please delete the emails regarding your std, your request that I provide you antibiotics that you can surreptitiously give to Melinda and the description of your penis,” the email reads.
