Records also show that Barak visited Epstein roughly 30 times between 2013 and 2017, after Epstein’s criminal conduct was public knowledge. Emails indicate that Barak and his wife stayed at Epstein’s New York residence, coordinating through Epstein’s assistant about cleaning arrangements and technology updates. Barak has stated he met Epstein in 2003 through Shimon Peres and insists he “never participated in any party or any other ‘inappropriate’ event” and “never met him with girls or minors.” But the timeline and frequency of contact raise obvious questions.
Even more explosive is a declassified 2020 FBI memo summarizing claims from a confidential source. The informant said he became “convinced that Epstein was a co-opted Mossad Agent.” According to the memo, Epstein’s attorney Alan Dershowitz told then-U.S. Attorney Alex Acosta “that Epstein belonged to both U.S. and allied intelligence services.” The source further alleged that he monitored calls between Dershowitz and Epstein and that “Mossad would then call Dershowitz to debrief.”
The memo claims “Epstein was close to the former Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Barak and trained as a spy under him.” It also states that Dershowitz allegedly said “if he were young again, he would be holding a stun gun as an Israeli Intelligence (Mossad) agent.” The informant concluded “Dershowitz was co-opted by Mossad and subscribed to their mission.”
These statements are not coming from anonymous internet posts. They are contained within official government records. That does not make them proven fact, but it does make them newsworthy. Yet much of the corporate press has treated any mention of foreign intelligence connections as taboo.
Independent outlets have reported that Epstein helped facilitate diplomatic and security contacts involving Israel, Mongolia, and even backchannel communications related to Russia during the Syrian conflict. Leaked correspondence suggests Epstein leveraged his relationships with figures across the globe, including tech leaders and individuals within Vladimir Putin’s orbit. One email allegedly shows Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking advice related to a 2017 trip to Israel. Afterward, Epstein reportedly wrote: “The Indian Prime minister modi took advice. and danced and sang in Israel for the benefit of the US president. they had met a few weeks ago.. IT WORKED. !” He also praised associates by saying, “Your guys performance was both clever and executed well. Good work.”
Despite the gravity of these claims, coverage from major outlets has focused elsewhere. A Nexis search from July 2025 reportedly found hundreds of stories tying Trump to Epstein, but almost none addressing alleged Mossad links. When Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene raised questions about foreign intelligence involvement, CNN criticized her for making claims “without evidence.” Yet the FBI memo exists and contains the allegations in black and white.
Miami Herald reporter Julie K. Brown, whose earlier work revived the Epstein investigation, told The Times of Israel that it is “not beyond the realm of possibility that Epstein had connections to the Israeli intelligence community.” She also pointed to Epstein’s relationship with Robert Maxwell, a British media magnate who was later revealed to have ties to Mossad.
Public skepticism is growing. Polling has shown a sharp drop in the number of Americans who believe Epstein had no connection to foreign intelligence. Whether these suspicions prove accurate or not, the American people deserve transparency.
The Epstein case has always been about more than one depraved financier. It has been about power, protection, and the networks that shield elites from consequences. If foreign intelligence agencies were involved in any capacity, that would represent one of the most significant national security scandals in modern history.
The files are now in the open. The questions are on the table. The only remaining issue is whether the media and the political establishment have the courage to confront what the documents actually say.
