“Imagine if the roles were reversed and a group of white, conservatives ambushed someone within the LGBTQ community…”
To further a twisted goal, demonstrators and activists at San Francisco State University used violence and mayhem. Their cries of “trans women are women” disturbed the tranquility and put those nearby in danger. Riley Gaines, a target of their hostility, served as the focal point of the event. Yet rather than helping their own cause, these people’s despicable actions merely serve to discredit it.
Gaines recently expressed her opinions on a public attack, and she was inundated with messages of support, including one from Elon Musk. Musk, a prominent advocate for free expression who has criticized cancel culture, simply said, “Cancel cancel culture.” Musk has talked a lot about the troubling phenomena known as “cancel culture,” in which a group of activists works to ruin someone’s reputation if they do not share the organization’s values.

“Imagine if the roles were reversed,” Gaines had written, “and a group of white, conservatives ambushed someone within the LGBTQ community, physically assaulted them, and held them for ransom for 3 hrs… There would be arrests and repercussions for the perpetrators and the administration who allowed this.
“Instead,” she continued, “the campus police and University did nothing. They were scared to assert any force and adequately do their job for fear of coming off as racist, transphobic, or anything other than an ally to the community. I’m tired of the double standards. When will enough be enough?”
Gaines told Tucker Carlson about the assault.
In the 2022 200 yard freestyle, Riley Gaines, a talented NCAA swimmer for the University of Kentucky, met an exceptional foe in Lia Thomas. Thomas, who once swam for the UPenn men’s team, is a titan among the women’s teams. Despite transferring to the women’s squad and identifying as a woman, Thomas tied for fifth with Gaines, an impressive accomplishment. Despite their great efforts, only Thomas received the prize, giving the two swimmers different results.
The NCAA made it obvious that they had no interest in Gaines’ victory or her sentiments over it and would instead publicly present Thomas with the fifth-place trophy in order to relieve Thomas’ concerns. Gaines recalled that one of the NCAA officials stated to him while they were awarding awards on the podium after the race. “Hey, I just want to let you know, we only have one fifth place trophy, so yours will be coming in the mail. We went ahead and gave the fifth place trophy to Lia, but you can pose on the podium with the sixth place trophy.”
When Thomas had won a national championship the previous evening, the genuine winner had been demoted to second place, and the third-place finisher had been promoted to first. Gaines confronted the official at the moment, but despite his protests, Thomas was awarded the prize rather than Gaines. A competitor who finished second behind Thomas in the 500 freestyle said: “Wow, I can’t believe I just got beat by someone who probably wasn’t even trying their hardest.”
The scene of the platform for the awards is a moving illustration of how society struggles with gender identity. Students at San Francisco State have noted that the lone male swimmer among the female swimmers is thought to identify as a female. This fascinating image makes us address the difficulties of gender and the value of establishing inclusive environments for all people, regardless of their identify.
Gaines recently gave a speech and found herself in a terrible scenario when a gang of people barged in and started attacking her. The attackers then turned out the lights, further escalating the commotion. Gaines was soon led out of the room and transported somewhere else out of safety concerns. She remained confined to the new room for a full three hours, so this was not the end of her torment. Gaines’ terrifying ordeal serves as a sobering reminder of the significance of safety precautions, even in circumstances that appear harmless.
She was assaulted, unable to leave, and the people who did it were adamant that what they had done was justified. A woman joyously cries at Gaines as she is being brought away from the throng by security and into a place where she must wait for the mob to dissipate for hours “You cryin? You f*ckin cryin bitch?”
While on campus with TPUSA, a courageous woman’s rights activist recently had to deal with a flurry of hostile protesters. She received yells, threats, obscenities, and physical assaults in spite of the fact that she did not speak out against trans rights. It’s crucial to keep in mind that speaking out against trans persons does not constitute advocacy for women. This experience emphasizes the need of having honest conversations with everyone.
Gaines bravely captured the irate crowd’s violent conduct in the middle of a terrifying scenario while security sought to shield her from them and posted the clip on Twitter. Surprisingly, women who reject the fundamental reality of their own physical biology were among the protesters, yelling and leading chants that proclaimed “trans women are women.”
Men who dare to speak out for their own safety and well-being are interrupted and denigrated by other men in a distressing show of sexism. In defiance of the particular difficulties experienced by women, they yell with reckless abandon, shamelessly denying them the right to a voice, to their own places, and to legal safeguards. Such conduct serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the systematic prejudice and oppression that women still experience in society.
Cate Gaines, who had come to speak in favor of women’s sporting chances, was the target of the crowd’s disgusting outburst of jeers and insults. In spite of their biological disparities, a number of males were particularly outspoken in their opinion that women should just accept the physical superiority of men who identify as female. Not only were their statements sexist, but they also downplayed the value of competitiveness and fair play. The amount of work that still needs to be done to establish gender equality in sports was starkly brought to light by this.
Gaines has declared that he will “pursue legal action” in retaliation for the assault. In order to compel states to permit males to play on girls’ sporting teams, the Biden administration is pressing forward with advice.
