Former President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk were spotted side-by-side at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service in Glendale, Arizona. For the first time in months, the two men set aside their bitter public feud and appeared to be moving toward reconciliation.
From allies to enemies
Just a year ago, Trump and Musk were the ultimate power duo. Together, they pushed through reforms and even launched the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency, a Musk-branded crusade to slash waste, fraud, and abuse. Trump welcomed Musk’s plans enthusiastically, knowing how popular the billionaire’s no-nonsense approach was with his base.
But the alliance cracked. Behind closed doors, the pair reportedly clashed over Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill” and the exploding national debt. Musk walked away from the administration and unloaded on Trump in a series of social media broadsides. The White House hit back with damaging leaks about Musk’s alleged ketamine use.
