Newsom’s name has come up several times as a possible Biden substitute despite his authoritarian inclinations, especially in light of rumors that his softening of extreme left ideas was intended to make him a competitive contender for 2024.
It would be bad for Democrats if Biden were to be replaced by someone like Newsom or Harris, as these poll findings indicate.
So, are the Democrats obligated to support Biden?
It appears that way at this point.
Though he may have flaws, such as corruption, senility, and a perceived lack of intelligence even on his best days, Biden is still the Democrats’ greatest chance to challenge Trump.
The only chance for the Democrats is Biden.
That understanding is terrifying for Democrats.
