Host Martha Raddatz, who has long been a mouthpiece for the left, attempted to frame the policy as an extreme measure, questioning whether ICE agents would be arresting children in schools. “The administration said it will no longer tell ICE agents they have to avoid sensitive locations, including schools, hospitals, churches,” Raddatz said. “Benjamine Huffman, the acting Homeland Security Secretary, said in a statement, ‘criminals will no longer be able to hide in America’s schools and churches to avoid arrest.’ What criminals are hiding in schools? Middle schools, elementary schools — you gonna go into those?”
Homan, armed with facts, pushed back against her misleading narrative, pointing out that many MS-13 gang members fall between the ages of 14 and 17. “How many MS-13 members are the ages 14-17?” he asked. “Many of them. So look, if it’s a national security threat, public safety threat and what, what you need to understand is that it’s case by case, name another agency, another law enforcement agency, that has those type of requirements, that they can’t walk into a school or doctor’s office or a medical campus.”
He highlighted the hypocrisy in holding ICE to a different standard than other law enforcement agencies. Police are not restricted from entering churches or schools to arrest murderers, rapists, or thieves. So why should ICE be treated any differently when it comes to apprehending individuals who threaten national security?
“No other agency is held to those standards. These are well-trained officers with a lot of discretion, and when it comes to a sensitive location, there’s still gonna be supervisory review,” Homan stated, making it clear that enforcement will be carried out responsibly and strategically.
With ICE agents now given full discretion to make arrests at these locations, Homan assured the public that only those posing a serious threat would be targeted. “So it’s not like it’s an open, open issue, but ICE officers should have discretion to decide if a national security threat or a public safety threats that’s in one of these facilities, then it should be an option for them to make the arrest,” he explained.

Raddatz’s questioning reflected the left’s continued refusal to acknowledge illegal immigration as a crime. The Biden administration’s lax border policies have only emboldened criminals and cartels, further exacerbating the crisis.
“The message needs to be clear,” Homan said. “There’s consequences of entering the country illegally. If we don’t show there are consequences, you’re never gonna fix the border problem.”
Trump’s administration is leaving no room for ambiguity: illegal entry into the U.S. will no longer be tolerated. With Homan leading the charge, ICE agents now have the authority they need to enforce immigration laws without bureaucratic roadblocks. This strong stance sends a clear message to would-be border crossers—the days of open borders and sanctuary for criminals are over.
