Democrats PANIC as Poll Shows Open Border Backlash

A recent Harvard/Harris poll reveals that most Americans believe the Democratic Party champions open borders. Conducted March 25–26, the survey found that 56 percent of registered voters think Democrats back unrestricted immigration, while 44 percent disagreed.

The survey also highlighted stark differences on deportation policy. Only a narrow 52 to 48 percent majority said Democrats support deporting violent illegal immigrants. In contrast, 79 percent of respondents believe Republicans favor removing criminal noncitizens from the country. The poll included 2,009 registered voters and carried a margin of error of +/- 1.99 percent.

The political clash over immigration funding has intensified this year. Democrats have refused to provide full funding for the Department of Homeland Security unless Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are carved out.
