Dan Bongino Just Went OFF on Trump!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Before Trump’s inauguration, Bongino repeatedly sounded the alarm, warning that the former president’s life was in grave danger. His concerns seemed validated when the inauguration was abruptly moved indoors—an indication that security risks were significant.

Just two days after the inauguration, Bongino took to social media with a cryptic yet revealing message.

“Don’t blame me. I tried,” Bongino posted.

His frustration stemmed from Trump’s decision to appoint Sean Curran, the head of his Secret Service detail, as the agency’s new director. Curran had been one of the agents who rushed to shield Trump after the shocking assassination attempt in Butler. However, critics—including Bongino—blamed Curran for serious security lapses on that fateful day.

Key failures under Curran’s watch included allowing a gunman to fly a drone over the rally site hours before the attack and failing to prevent Trump from taking the stage despite reports of a suspicious individual in the crowd. These lapses raised major concerns about whether Curran was the right choice to lead the agency.

Despite Bongino’s frustrations, there was some positive news. Curran quickly moved to overhaul the agency’s leadership, a sign that the Trump administration was serious about fixing security vulnerabilities.

“On incoming Secret Service Director Sean Curran’s first day in the new role, 5-10 senior leadership officials, including former Director Ron Rowe, were warned that they would either be fired, moved, or pressed into retirement, according to three sources in the Secret Service community,” Real Clear Politics’ Susan Crabtree reported on X.

One of the biggest revelations was that top Biden-era Secret Service officials allegedly withheld crucial intelligence about threats against Trump before the Butler rally. Had Curran and other agents been fully briefed, security measures that day could have been significantly different.

Crabtree further revealed:

“One of the biggest complaints I’m hearing – and this is a big development — is that several top officials targeted for ousting didn’t tell Curran or ANYONE ON THE GROUND involved in security planning for the Butler rally about the threats against Trump pre-J13. Those officials are: Cheatle, Rowe, and David Torres, the assistant director of Strategic Intelligence and Information, according to two sources with first-hand knowledge, according to a well-placed source in the Secret Service community.”

Bongino’s disappointment is understandable. After sounding the alarm about Trump’s safety for weeks, he watched as the former president appointed someone he viewed as partially responsible for prior security failures. Still, Curran’s swift action to clean house may signal a shift toward a more reliable and accountable Secret Service.

With Trump once again at the center of national politics, ensuring his safety remains a top priority. Whether Curran is up to the task remains to be seen, but the coming months will be critical in determining whether the Secret Service has truly learned from past mistakes.
