COVID Shots: CDC’s Unexpected Turn!

The COVID-19 vaccine is anticipated to be given annually, much like the flu shot, according to Dr. Mandy Cohen, the recently appointed Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, during an interview with Spectrum News.

The CDC will soon release a new recommendation: to protect against the COVID-19 virus, Americans should get a booster shot every year.

New Evidence: Scientists Discover A Hidden Root Cause Of Stubborn Belly Fat, And It Will Surprise You…

“We’re just on the precipice of that, so I don’t want to get ahead of where our scientists are here and doing that evaluation work, but yes we anticipate that COVID will become similar to flu shots, where it is going to be you get your annual flu shot, and you get your annual COVID shot,” Dr. Mandy Cohen spoke to Spectrum News at the CDC’s Atlanta offices.

“We’re not quite there yet, but stay tuned,” she added. “I think within the next couple of weeks, month we’re going to hear more from our experts on COVID shots.”

Dr. Cohen is worried about parents who decide not to vaccinate their kids. Given the probable “tripledemic” of COVID-19, influenza, and RSV, this is very concerning.

“I’m very worried about parents not vaccinating kids,” Cohen said. “I got my kids vaccinated from the circulating viruses. There’s plenty of other things that are hard as parents that we can’t do. This is one we can do to protect our kids.”

She further acknowledged that when Walensky was in charge, ”folks have been very clear that the CDC did lose trust.”

“There were some early places where the CDC didn’t perform and execute in the way they needed to,” Cohen mentioned people’s reservations about vaccinations.

According to Spectrum News, Cohen put developing relationships with the public, health officials, and lawmakers from different parties at the top of her priority list during her first month as director.

She also discussed the efforts made by House Republicans to cut back on funding for the agency, particularly for projects and research related to climate change.

“Just like we have a military to protect us here and around the world, we need a CDC that can protect us,” she said.

“[When people hear ‘CDC,’ I want them to think of a] trusted partner who’s looking out for me, who’s looking out to protecting my health … good, accurate information that helps me with common sense solutions to protect myself, my family and my community.”

According to The Gateway Pundit, Cohen zealously promoted COVID limits while serving as North Carolina’s top health official and found enjoyment in the implications for Americans.
