Left-wing music diva Cher claims she “almost got an ulcer” when former President Donald Trump was elected in 2016 and that she will leave the country if he is re-elected.
“I almost got an ulcer the last time [Trump was elected],” In an interview with the Guardian that was released on Wednesday, Cher stated, “If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the country].”
Cher contributed to President Joe Biden’s campaign by recording the revised song “Happiness Is Just A Thing Called Joe,” which was released during the 2020 presidential election. The “Believe” singer had furthermore supported Hillary Clinton, Trump’s rival in the 2016 presidential race.
The music artist is not afraid to voice her political beliefs.
In an exasperated Twitter rant last year, Cher responded to the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision by stating Trump’s “radical Republican Supreme Court” is “responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of American women.”
