For months, The Breakfast Club painted ICE agents as masked thugs, terrorizing innocent communities. Millions of listeners were told to fear federal immigration officers as if they were a lawless militia.
Last Friday, Charlamagne Tha God encountered those same agents firsthand while navigating LaGuardia Airport—and what he experienced doesn’t match the narrative he’s been feeding his audience.
What He Saw Firsthand
Charlamagne recounted the experience Monday morning to co-host DJ Envy. His first observation? TSA agents were nowhere in sight.
“ICE was doing everything,” he said.
Envy pressed him on the encounter.
“I mean, they were great to be honest with you,” Charlamagne admitted. “They were being extra nice like Chick-fil-A workers.”
This wasn’t a minor detail. Charlamagne even remarked on the stark contrast between what he expected and what he saw.
“I was saying to myself, I’m like, ‘There is no way in hell this is the same ICE agents that was on the streets of places like Minnesota with the mask on,'” he said.
