A political storm is brewing after former Tucker Carlson delivered a stunning rebuke of President Donald Trump and the leaders behind the dramatic U.S.–Israel military campaign known as Operation Epic Fury. Carlson, once one of the most influential conservative voices in American media, suggested that the officials responsible for coordinating the attack should face jail time—an explosive claim that has shocked many on the right.
Carlson made the comments during an interview on the show Redacted, hosted by former Fox News personality Clayton Morris and co-host Natali Morris. During the conversation, Carlson criticized the Trump administration’s strategy toward Iran and accused Washington of surrendering independent decision-making authority in favor of a joint war effort with Israel.
The controversy comes in the wake of Operation Epic Fury, the massive joint military campaign carried out by the United States and Israel. The operation targeted Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure in what officials described as one of the most sophisticated strikes ever conducted.
According to the Trump administration, the mission crippled Iran’s nuclear ambitions, destroyed critical missile systems, devastated large parts of the Iranian navy, and eliminated several senior figures tied to Tehran’s terror networks, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
