“We’re going to demand Brigitte sit down for an exam with an independent doctor. We’re coming for her medical records,” Owens said on Monday. “This isn’t France, where Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron get to do whatever they want. This is America. You don’t get to skip discovery just because you’re a foreign world leader angry about a podcaster’s First Amendment rights.”
Owens stressed that under U.S. law, evidence must be independently verified. “The American court system isn’t some kangaroo court where leaders can just say whatever they want. Evidence must be independently verified. During the discovery process, Brigitte will need to submit herself to a third-party medical examination,” she added.

If the lawsuit moves forward into discovery, Owens’ legal team plans to subpoena medical records and require Brigitte Macron to be examined by an outside physician. The goal, according to Owens, is to confirm the First Lady’s biological sex at birth once and for all.
The Macrons, for their part, aren’t revealing much publicly. When asked whether they would produce photos of Brigitte pregnant and raising children, their lawyer Tom Clare responded only that such evidence “would be presented in court where there are rules and standards.”
The French First Couple filed their defamation lawsuit in July, blasting Owens for what they called “outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions.” Their legal filing accused her of fueling a “campaign of global humiliation” and engaging in “relentless bullying” against Brigitte Macron.
The accusations stem from Owens’ repeated claims about Brigitte Macron’s gender identity — allegations that have spread widely online and sparked debate on both sides of the Atlantic.
Owens’ lawyers have already filed motions to dismiss the lawsuit, arguing that this is a clear-cut case of free speech protected under the U.S. Constitution.
For now, all eyes are on whether the case will advance to the discovery phase — a moment that could set up a courtroom battle over privacy, medical records, and First Amendment rights.
One thing is certain: Candace Owens has made it clear she’s not going anywhere.
