Chambers, a staunch advocate for border security, has spent years safeguarding the southern border. On the evening of September 22, Chambers received intelligence from a confidential informant who claimed that dangerous weapons had crossed the border. The following morning, this information was corroborated by another informant who was in contact with Bazzel Baz, a former CIA Intelligence Special Operations Group officer.

Baz, who is well-known for his work with the Association for the Recovery of Children (ARC) and combating child sex trafficking at the southern border, provided further insight into the disturbing situation. Chambers revealed that two informants, one located outside of the U.S. and one inside, confirmed that nine surface-to-air missiles (SAMs) had made their way into the country. According to the reports, these missiles were identified as Misagh-3, a type of shoulder-fired missile system of Persian origin.
