The California Democrat made an important disclosure in a recent post on the X social media site.
Nancy Pelosi is a formidable 83-year-old who served as Speaker of the House for a total of eight years. She served as the fearless leader of the House Democratic Caucus for two decades, from 2003 to 2023.
She continued to represent San Francisco in the House after stepping down from leadership at the end of the 117th Congress.
The congressman wrote in her Friday post that “the city of San Francisco is depending on us to promote its values and drive its recovery during these crucial times.” “Our country needs to show the rest of the world that our flag still stands for justice and liberty for all.”
“That is why I am running for reelection — and respectfully ask for your vote.”
For more than three decades, Nancy Pelosi has faithfully represented the thriving San Francisco region in California’s recognized 11th Congressional District.
