House Speaker Kevin McCarthy increases his call for a probe into President Joe Biden’s possible impeachment, citing claims of misbehavior, abuse of authority, and suspected bribery as key reasons why it is necessary.
The Speaker accuses the President of misrepresenting his family’s financial ties to China to the public and calls for the start of impeachment procedures to fully look into these allegations. The IRS whistleblowers who provided this material claim that the Justice Department may have given the Biden family special treatment, eerily eerily eerily reminiscent of previous President Richard Nixon’s behavior.
“The only way you can investigate that is through an impeachment inquiry so the committee would have the power to get all the documents that they would need,” McCarthy stated.
The 1023 form, a document that makes allegations of possible misbehavior and was in the Justice Department’s possession throughout the Trump administration, was another topic the Speaker brought up. McCarthy said that once Attorney General Barr transferred the form to the Philadelphia Department of Justice, it was eventually determined to have “more merit and more information.” However, it is claimed that during their inquiry, IRS officials were not given access to the paper.

McCarthy underlined that starting a probe would give Republicans and Democrats crucial material for their own investigations in defending his position on impeachment. He emphasized that the goal is to learn the truth for the benefit of the American people, not to support any certain party. “What that simply provides is that the American public has a right to know and this allows Congress to get the information to be able to know the truth,” said McCarthy.
The Speaker’s increasing calls for an impeachment investigation have stoked further debate on the Left. The calls for impeachment were described as “right-winged” by a journalist. McCarthy responded by saying that an impeachment investigation is about “America and the truth,” not satisfying any particular political faction.
McCarthy and other Republicans have legitimate concerns, but politics and political divide surround the choice to move forward with the impeachment process.

They will probably stall until the statute of limitations is up. Biden will “walk” just as ALL democrats do. I’ve begun to believe they should have chosen a different speaker. Someone who isn’t from the liberal state of California!
I am so tired of this “doubling down.” Just do it. I think that even if the Senate doesn’t convict, this a huge political opportunity — to use voting against impeachment against someone.
