In a stunning move, House Republicans today rejected Jim Jordan, a member of their party who is highly regarded and has broad support.
Against the wishes of their constituents, Republican lawmakers secretly voted to remove Jordan from the Speaker’s contest.
Republicans have decided to drop the Ohio Republican from the contest by a secret vote of 112-86.
For more than two weeks, the House of Representatives has been operating without a speaker. After Matt Gaetz submitted a motion to oust Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker, this took place. Earlier this month, McCarthy was removed from office by a vote of 216-210. Notably, Biggs, Buck, Burchett, Crane, Gaetz, Good, Mace, and Rosendale were the eight Republicans who voted to fire McCarthy.
On Friday afternoon, Kevin McCarthy, a prominent player in the background, publicly supported Tom Emmer (MN) for the role of House Speaker in a recent secret vote.

Rep. Tom Emmer received the former Speaker McCarthy’s support for the speakership on Friday night.
“He is the right person for the job. He can unite the conference. He understands the dynamics of the conference. He also understands what it takes to win and keep a majority,” McCarthy said.
Emmer is very likely to receive backing from a number of Democrats.

The Minnesota RINO, a former paid spokesperson for the group financed by George Soros, was a key player in the National Popular Vote campaign.
According to The New York Post:
The National Popular Vote initiative, which aimed to change the Electoral College, was launched in 2006. They support state legislation requiring voters to support the candidate who receives the most votes nationally.
Emmer joined the organization as a paid spokesperson about five years after it first began.
In a video interview from 2011 that was posted on the website of the Pennsylvania public relations company Triad Strategies, Emmer stated, “I believe it’s going to end up favoring Republicans… if you believe in our message.”

The United States is a Republic not a pure Democracy. A pure democracy states the majority rules which leads to a one political party, because the majority rule will eliminate the minority. A republic is based on the states determining the rule of federal government. That is why America is a United States. Our founders did not want the large population of large states to over ride the small population of small states. Communism is the rule of one party, i.e. the Communist party.
Our leaders need to understand the reason our Founding Fathers created the constitution as written.
