For years, Democrats have worked overtime to smear Donald Trump by tying his name to Jeffrey Epstein. They assumed that Attorney General Bill Barr’s testimony would finally deliver the ammunition they needed. Instead, the opposite happened.
When Barr revealed what Trump really said about Epstein’s death, the so-called bombshell completely backfired. It silenced the critics and blew apart the Left’s favorite conspiracy theory.
Republicans Demand Answers
The House Oversight Committee recently launched a fresh investigation into Epstein’s death after renewed public interest. Chairman James Comer pushed for full transparency and demanded testimony from former Attorney General Bill Barr.
Democrats, of course, saw this as their big chance to spin up more “Trump-Epstein” conspiracies. They hoped Barr would implicate the former president or hint at a cover-up. What they got was the exact opposite.
Trump’s Shocked Reaction
Barr told investigators about the moment he informed Trump that Epstein had died in federal custody.
“I called [the president] up and said, ‘You better brace for this,’ and I told him words to that effect, and I told him about it and told him we were going to be investigating it very vigorously,” Barr testified.
