On Wednesday, Rep. Lauren Boebert courageously announced to the nation that the GOP is devoted to and ready to address the urgent problem at our border with Mexico. Join her as Republicans prepare to take decisive action to bring about order!
“Mark your calendars. The week of Feb 6th. A @GOPoversight hearing on the invasion at our southern border. Time to get to the bottom of this mess. Buckle up!” the Colorado Republican, now a member of the influential House Oversight Committee, tweeted.

Lauren Boebert, a Republican representative, has made a significant accomplishment by being chosen by GOP leader McCarthy to serve on the powerful House Steering Committee. Her participation on this esteemed panel will surely add a fascinating fresh viewpoint!
The outlet noted: “The appointment gives the outspoken Colorado Republican outsized influence on looming investigations into three-letter agencies like the CIA and FBI that McCarthy—whom Boebert vocally opposed for the speaker post—had hinted at in the lead-up to Republicans taking the majority this past November.”
Rep. Boebert caused a stir during the 118th Congress by publicly criticizing House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and casting up to thirteen different votes for different candidates before finally giving in to McCarthy’s choice. This wildly unorthodox action stunned everyone in Washington, which is a real credit to Rep. Boebert’s bravery and willingness to stick up for her beliefs!
Boebert pleaded for a halt to smear campaigns and sneaky strategies used to turn people against their own party during a stressful point in the speaker vote, even going so far as to quote President Donald Trump’s direct demand for civility.
“I think it actually needs to be reversed—the president needs to tell [Representative] Kevin McCarthy that ‘sir, you do not have the votes and it’s time to withdraw,’” she added at the time.
Rep. Lauren Boebert appears to be the result of a successful agreement between McCarthy and House Republicans who were initially opposed to re-electing him as Minority Leader after days of contentious discussions. These discussions that took place behind closed doors serve as further evidence of how compromise might affect congressional decisions in the long run.
“We changed the way bills will be passed,” Boebert said in a news release at the time. “We changed the way the government will be funded. We changed the ways committees will be formed. We secured votes on term limits, the fair tax, the Texas Border Plan, and so much more.”
A statement from Boebert’s office following her appointment noted: “As an advocate for transparency and reform, I will pursue the truth, conduct effective oversight, and fight to root out waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government.
“I look forward to working with Chairman James Comer and supporting his mission to eliminate mismanagement in the federal government by investigating the border and fentanyl crises, COVID relief fraud, government collusion with big tech to censor Americans, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the energy crisis, COVID origins, and the Biden family’s shady business schemes,” she added.
A humanitarian crisis is developing at our southern border, and Texas Representative Chip Roy informed the country of this in February. He asked that President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas take immediate action to ameliorate the situation or risk being impeached.
Roy spoke about the number of illegal immigrants encountered at America’s southern border, which got a response from conservative commentator Jesse Kelly, who said: “What Joe Biden is doing at our border is impeachable. It’s more impeachable than Watergate. This is an attack on the sovereignty of America and it’s coming from the Oval Office. Republicans should move to impeach after 2022.”
Roy embraced Kelly’s radical idea and took a stand in favor of Secretary Mayorkas and President Biden’s impeachment.
According to the year-end report from the House, the president’s immigration policy may not have been successful given that more immigrants were caught at the US border in only two months of 2021 than in the entire year of 2020. The announcement has generated discussion about how to manage future migrations in immigrant communities around the nation.
Border agents detained more illegal immigrants in just two months than they did the entire previous year, according to Andrew Arthur, a former immigration court judge who is currently a member of the Center for Immigration Studies. During this time, 411,000 alien nationals were apprehended at the US-Mexico border, a record-breaking number.
