“Biden’s Victory?” Mexico Sees Surge In Illegal Immigration

Mexico has seen a rise in migrant arrivals in the post-Trump period even as President Joe Biden applauds the decline in numbers for January. Spanish-language media sources recently reported on this change in immigration patterns.

Recently, the Biden administration’s strategy to combat illegal immigration has been successful. President Biden and his pro-immigration agenda will triumph at this State of the Union address thanks to a new program that gives certain migrants legal entry into the United States with a sponsor or via the CBP One app.

Following unprecedented highs, illegal crossings have sharply decreased as a result of newly implemented procedures by the Department of Homeland Security. This includes CBP One and a program that grants 30,000 citizens of Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, and Nicaragua lawful entry on a monthly basis. As a result of these activities, there was an amazing decrease in illicit contacts in January.

As they wait for CBP One permission, the migrants’ profusion in Mexico is taxing the country’s resources. The incident and its implications for Mexican communities are being covered by several Spanish-language news agencies.

“There is an increase of 181% compared to December. We also believe that CBP One has encouraged migration, it looks easier to have an appointment. Yes, we have seen people who arrive with that expectation,” Enrique Lucero, the executive director of a Tijuana-based organization that advocates for migrants, recently gave Telemundo a report to shed light on their predicament.

A surge of migrants has overcrowded shelters in Juarez, Mexico, which is just over the border from El Paso, Texas, beyond capacity.

“This is a humanitarian crisis, because there are families with babies looking for shelters, but they are all collapsed and the Municipal Police are chasing migrants in the streets; tremendous, tremendous All week they have complained, they take their documents, they take money, they take cell phones, their belongings, all week they have been very afraid,” The Human Mobility Pastoral Coordinator, who recently spoke out in a report as published on Diario on January 28, is supporting the Diocese of Juárez, Mexico.

Despite having high expectations for a quick resolution, some migrants are having trouble using the app and scheduling open appointments. Sadly, this has held up their efforts toward attaining more stability.

“In these cities, thousands continue to live on the streets with extremely limited access to even the most basic services. They spend cold nights, skip meals, lack access to drinking water and sanitation, and are also highly exposed to different types of violence,” Marcos Tamariz has been named Deputy Chief of Mission for Doctors Without Borders after managing many ground-breaking missions successfully in his home Mexico and Central America. His illustrious career as a humanitarian is having a positive impact on the region’s encouraging growth.

DHS issued a stunning alert in December, saying that the record wave of migrants is beginning to overwhelm nations in Central and South America. Global immigration policy and international relations may be greatly impacted by this “enforcement fatigue.”

“Multiple countries in Central and South America reported having limited resources and are requesting assistance from the United States as well as international partners to support migrants already in country, stating they are unable to provide migrants with basic social service requirements,” While 35,200 migrants are arriving in northern Mexico, there are many other nations across the world dealing with a similar terrible scenario that need immediate attention.
