BIDEN’S SHOCKING MOVE: Freezing ALL Gas Projects Sparks Outrage!

Joe Biden’s negative influence on our nation is palpable.

As reported by Reuters, Joe Biden placed a temporary hold on the approval of current and future requests to export LNG from new projects.

Postpone making decisions about new facilities until after the election on November 5, especially the CP2 facility that is being considered for southwest Louisiana.

The Department of Energy (DOE) is pausing in order to evaluate the effects of exporting LNG to regions with high demand—Europe and Asia. This evaluation will look at these suggested projects’ effects on the environment and the economy.

In a teleconference with reporters, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm stated that the review procedure will require several months.

In a statement, Biden stressed the importance of this choice. See below for his complete statement:

Everywhere, climate change is wreaking havoc and causing immense suffering. Homes, businesses, and places of worship are being destroyed by catastrophic hurricanes and floods. Families are being forced to relocate as wildfires destroy entire neighborhoods. Millions of Americans are being impacted by the unprecedented heat, especially the most vulnerable.

Since its inception, my administration has acted decisively to address the pressing global and domestic climate crisis. By securing the largest investment in climate solutions ever, we have accomplished a historic milestone and are paving the way for the development of a clean, sustainable economy that will create a large number of job opportunities. We have been successful in persuading world leaders to support us in moving away from dangerous fossil fuels, which represent a serious threat to both our planet and its inhabitants, because we are dedicated to ensuring environmental justice for all.

Calling for greater action.

Today, my administration is announcing a temporary suspension of decisions regarding the export of liquefied natural gas, with the exception of sudden and urgent threats to national security. We will closely examine how LNG exports affect energy prices, the security of America’s energy supply, and the environment during this time. With the suspension of new LNG approvals, the climate crisis is recognized as the greatest existential threat of our time.

ALERT! Major Water Restrictions In Effect!

MAGA Republicans ignore the climate crisis, endangering our future in the process. However, my administration will not settle for mediocrity or bowing to special interests.

Come along as we respond to the urgent pleas for action from young people and frontline communities. Let’s take advantage of this crisis to create new jobs in the clean energy sector, improve our standard of living, and give our kids a better future.

Because of Biden’s climate agenda and the impending election campaign, the regime is reevaluating its position on projects. Younger voters’ growing concern over environmental issues and climate change has influenced this move.

According to Bloomberg:

The administration’s decision to hold off comes as environmentalists have used projects, such as the CP2 export terminal that Venture Global LNG Inc. has planned for the Gulf Coast, as a yardstick for the president’s commitment to combating climate change.

The Energy Department is currently reviewing over a dozen proposals, including business ventures that Commonwealth LNG and Energy Transfer LP have planned in Louisiana. The pause may have an impact on these proposals.

Biden faces a politically sensitive issue that requires him to weigh a number of conflicting priorities. Decisions about further LNG exports would essentially be postponed until after the presidential election on November 5th, due to a months-long review process.

Environmentalists like Bill McKibben, who spearheaded the successful effort to stop the Keystone XL oil pipeline approximately ten years ago, have put pressure on Biden to change his stance on LNG and have made it plain that they are closely examining each approval of a fossil fuel project that he oversees.

The US program manager for the environmental organization Oil Change International, Allie Rosenbluth, stated that the suspension of permits is “the first step in stopping these mega-climate bombs.” “It will either make or break his climate record this election if LNG exports are stopped.”

Karoline Leavitt, the press secretary for the Trump campaign, released a statement:

“Joe Biden has once again caved to the radical demands of the environmental extremists in his administration. This decision to block the approval of new facilities to export American natural gas is one more disastrous self-inflicted wound that will further undermine America’s economic and national security. On day one, President Trump will unleash American Energy to lower the cost of living for all Americans, pay down debt, strengthen national security, and establish the United States as the manufacturing superpower of the world.”

Speaker Mike Johnson criticizes the ridiculous choice.

“President Biden’s decision to place a pause on pending natural gas export terminals is outrageous. By bending the knee to climate activists, the President is empowering Russia, weakening U.S. energy security, and forcing Europe’s reliance on dirty, Russian exports. An abject failure.”

Social media users criticized this decision.
