Biden Gets Unexpected Backlash from Minority Voters!

President Joe Biden’s win in 2020 was significantly influenced by minority voters, demonstrating the Democrats’ reliance on their support. However, a growing percentage of minorities are losing hope in the way the US is now heading. Unexpectedly, many people are now publicly denouncing the president for his failing programs and broken promises.

All voters are losing faith in Biden, but Black and Hispanic voters in particular are becoming less supportive. His support with Black Americans peaked at over 80% in early 2021, but has since fallen to just over 70%.

Over a two-year period, Biden’s popularity rating among Hispanic voters falls considerably, from 50% to about 40%.

According to Reuters, an increasing number of minority voters are switching their allegiance to the Republican party, and others are debating abstaining from the 2018 presidential elections. These developments may have a significant influence on Biden’s prospects for reelection in 2024.

According to POLITICO, one of the main causes of the minority groups’ dissatisfaction is the situation of the economy. Recent news that Fitch Ratings has lowered the US credit rating from AAA to AA+ has certain minority residents feeling “discouraged” and “pessimistic” about the administration’s capacity to address the nation’s most pressing problems, according to interviews with a small number of them. Disgruntled Black and Hispanic voters list the rise in crime and the border situation as among Biden’s top faults, in addition to the ongoing economic downturn.

In addition to YouGov, ABC News, The Washington Post, Associated Press, Marquette University Law School, Pew Research Center, and Quinnipiac University, FiveThirtyEight also gathered satisfaction scores from other respectable polling companies. Additionally, a YouGov poll conducted by The Economist found that a sizable majority of Black and Hispanic voters, 37% and 47%, respectively, said Biden should not run for re-election.
