A self-described whistleblower has come forward after being arrested on what he considers to be politically driven accusations and has made allegations of information about the Biden family’s international financial connections. The lawyer for Luft, Mordechai Tzivin, has publicly voiced concern about the possibility that client would suffer damage if his extradition were to proceed. Such processes are especially susceptible to political influence, and Interpol often refuses to comply with these demands. This reality raises clear concerns about protecting Mr. Luft’s safety should an effort be made to expel him.
Tzivin also said that he worries that Luft is in danger. “great danger. I fear extradition because you don’t know how such procedures could end. Tzivin continued, “When there is a political motive, Interpol does not extradite, or when there is danger to someone’s life. I don’t want to say that he is in mortal danger, but he is indeed in great danger.”
For the government-affiliated CEFC China Energy, Luft served as counsel. According to CNN, this company generously gave monies totaling at least $350,000 to the think group that he directs. Moreover, it is claimed that same organization paid Hunter Biden an astonishing sum of $6 million in 2017 for his efforts to secure domestic energy investments.
Hunter Biden’s engagement in international business activities has come under increased attention as a result of recent events, most notably his relationship with CEFC China Energy.
