Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro has stepped forward in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s shocking assassination, vowing to take the fight directly to America’s universities. Speaking to his audience, the Daily Wire founder promised to continue the mission that Kirk began, even using the jarring phrase that he would “pick up that blood-stained microphone where Charlie left it.”
Shapiro Promises Action, Not Silence
Only days after Kirk’s murder at Utah Valley University, Shapiro said he refuses to back down. He told his listeners, “We’re going to pick up that blood-stained microphone where Charlie left it,” and emphasized his determination to keep conservative voices on campus alive.
Shapiro pushed back against online speculation that his planned college events were canceled. “Now, it’s still up to us. I saw a lot of rumors online today. I was made aware of this by my team that I canceled some sort of college tour. That’s bullsht. I saw those rumors. They are false. I will be coming to college campuses, many of them this year.”*
