What unfolded inside Hove Crown Court this week was not just testimony. It was a statement that prosecutors say revealed something far deeper than the facts of a single crime.

A Night That Turned Into a Nightmare
According to prosecutors, three men who had entered the United Kingdom illegally and were awaiting asylum decisions encountered a vulnerable woman in the early hours of October 4, 2025.
The 33-year-old victim had been out for the evening and was reportedly intoxicated when she crossed paths with the group near Brighton. What followed, prosecutors told the jury, was a calculated and “predatory” assault.
Two of the men allegedly attacked her on the beach while she was barely conscious. The third filmed the incident.
