Representative Matt Gaetz stated on Monday that he had been attacked over the weekend in Florida. While specifics are still lacking, it has been reported that Rep. Gaetz was vacationing in his home state with family and friends when this incident took place.
Congressman Matt Gaetz and his wife were at an event in Florida when he got a startling surprise: he was attacked by a woman who had been detained for the offense. Public indignation about the event has been reported on social media and through the publication of footage taken there.
“On Saturday evening, April 29th, a 41-year-old woman named Selena J. Chambers assaulted U.S. Congressman Matt Gaetz (FL-01) while he was attending a private event with his wife in Sandestin, Florida. The woman was arrested by Walton County officers and charged with one count of battery on an elected official and one count of battery, to touch or strike. Chambers, a registered Democrat and self-described member of the “Resistance,” is a resident of Tallahassee, Florida,” In a news statement, Gaetz remarked.
“I will never allow the safety of Northwest Floridians to be comprised. I will be pressing charges against this individual in order to uphold the civility our community deserves. Thank you to the Walton County Sheriff’s office for taking swift action,” Gaetz said.

Following her own tenure as a Fox News celebrity, Kelly has now made it known that Tucker Carlson is still bound to the network.
“I wanna, I think, break some news for you. Tucker Carlson hasn’t actually been fired,” She mentioned that during her SiriusXM podcast on Thursday. “He’s still an employee of Fox News Channel.”

Executive Suzanne Scott told Carlson that his skills were no longer needed after denying him access to the company’s email system. Finding a mutually beneficial “negotiate an exit” is now required in order to leave Fox News.
She continued by saying that Scott’s call was caught on “Tucker completely off guard” but that he’s “not fired.”
“That’s my information, that he still needs to negotiate the exit and that right now he’s not free to launch a podcast or a digital show or negotiate with other employers at all because he’s still under contract,” Kelly continued.
Scott abruptly dismissed Carlson after he continually sought an explanation for why he had been taken off the air, despite the fact that he had begun contract talks that would have secured him a position at Fox News through the year 2029.
“To me, that is so disheartening,” Kelly continued by describing how Carlson overcame one of the network’s most trying times, which included the firing of longtime CEO Roger Ailes and the loss of two of its biggest stars at the time, Bill O’Reilly and herself.
“So, why now? What was it that led them to treat their No. 1 star with such disdain?” Kelly mused.
There are several views as to why Tucker Carlson was fired from Fox News; although the well-known pundit himself thinks it’s because the Murdoch family is getting ready to sell, some have other ideas.
