Despite that, Capitol Police never received a full briefing. “We’re really having a hard time finding really any tangible reports that were sent to the Capitol Police or other agencies,” Loudermilk said, questioning whether key officials intentionally kept information from security leaders. “What did they know? When did they know it, and what did they do with the information?”
“It Was Going to Be a Whole Lot Worse”
Perhaps the most disturbing detail is just how specific the intelligence was. Loudermilk said multiple informants told the FBI that “not only was there going to be violence in Washington, DC… most of the reports were it was going to be a whole lot worse than what actually it turned out to be.”
If the information had been shared, Loudermilk said, it might have fundamentally changed how the day unfolded — including whether President Trump would have spoken at the Ellipse. “If they would have shared that level of intelligence, would it had changed the security posture to the extent where President Trump would not have come out and given his speech at the ellipse,” he asked.
FBI Informants Confirm Antifa’s Role
Last year, the Justice Department’s watchdog revealed that the FBI had at least 26 informants inside the crowd on January 6. Many of them were reporting potential violence. But until now, no one had publicly confirmed who those warnings pointed to.
Loudermilk has now confirmed that Antifa — the far-left extremist network long known for violent riots — was “embedded within the crowds” and preparing for armed conflict. “The answer is yes, there was concerns that Antifa would be embedded within the crowds there,” he said. “There were several references, again, not just isolated to one, but several different field offices, different organizations that were reporting that they had heard that Antifa would be embedded within the crowd.”
FBI officials later told Just The News that their own informants did indeed warn of possible “armed conflict” and Antifa involvement. The bureau has since shared those reports with Congress, and efforts are underway to declassify them so the American public can see the truth for themselves.
Pelosi’s Admission Adds Fuel to the Fire
The revelations come after Loudermilk previously released footage of then–House Speaker Nancy Pelosi admitting she should have authorized National Guard deployment earlier. “There should have been even more security put in place. The National Guard should have been at the Capitol the first time Chief of Police, Steven Sund requested it, just based on that information,” Loudermilk said.
The Big Picture
The Congressman’s investigation is raising major questions about whether elements within the FBI or other agencies deliberately withheld intelligence that could have prevented chaos. Loudermilk credited FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi for allowing him access to the long-buried intelligence, saying it opened “an entirely new avenue of inquiry.”
With new documents set to be declassified soon, America may finally see the full scope of what the FBI knew — and how much of it was hidden from the public.
For now, one thing is clear: the official narrative of January 6 is unraveling fast, and it looks more and more like the chaos that day wasn’t just spontaneous — it was allowed to happen.
