Tim Walz STUMPED on Who Runs the Democrats!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Comparing the Democrats to the Tea Party?

Walz attempted to justify his answer by drawing an odd comparison to the Tea Party movement that surged in 2010, largely in response to then-President Barack Obama’s aggressive push for government-run health care.

“And I would argue that the Tea Party, as it arose out of the ACA, where was that charismatic leader?” he stated. “It was John Boehner and Mitch McConnell and a whole bunch of folks at town halls.”

But the difference is clear: The Tea Party was a grassroots uprising fueled by frustration over big government policies, whereas today’s Democratic Party is drowning in its own lack of direction.

A Lukewarm Endorsement of Kamala Harris

At one point, Hunt pressed Walz on whether he thought Vice President Kamala Harris could emerge as the party’s future leader. His response was less than enthusiastic.

“I certainly think she could be,” he answered, offering no real confidence in Harris’ ability to take the reins.

It’s no secret that Harris has struggled with historically low approval ratings and a track record of political blunders. Walz’s noncommittal response will do little to inspire faith in her leadership—especially among Democrats desperate for a figure who can rally their party ahead of 2028.

Walz’s Own Presidential Ambitions?

Interestingly, Walz’s performance on CNN comes amid speculation that he may be considering his own bid for the White House. Just last week, he revealed that he will “certainly consider” running in 2028.

With his party in disarray and its current leadership in question, could Walz be positioning himself as an alternative to Harris? If so, his hesitancy to back her outright may not have been accidental.

What This Means for the Democratic Party

The Democratic Party is at a crossroads. President Joe Biden’s approval ratings continue to flounder, Harris has failed to inspire confidence, and now even rising figures like Walz are unable—or unwilling—to clearly define who is steering the ship.

For Republicans, this is just more evidence of a party that is struggling to find its footing. And as 2024 looms, the question remains: Will the Democrats manage to rally behind a true leader, or will they continue to flounder in uncertainty?

One thing is clear—if even their own potential candidates don’t know who’s in charge, why should the American people trust them to lead?
