In a recent development, Fox News has come under scrutiny for its handling of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) language in its job postings. CNN’s Oliver Darcy, known for advocating the suppression of conservative perspectives, highlighted this issue in his Status newsletter.
Darcy pointed out that while several Fox News hosts have criticized DEI initiatives in government, labeling them as discriminatory and unconstitutional, the network’s own job listings professed support for DEI. For instance, Sean Hannity commented on a tragic incident where a Blackhawk helicopter collided with an American Airlines flight, resulting in 67 fatalities, stating that the crash showed “why DEI can be dangerous.” Similarly, Jesse Watters warned that DEI programs were contributing to a shortage of air traffic controllers.

Despite these on-air criticisms, Fox News’ job postings stated that the network is “deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including attracting, retaining, and promoting diverse talent.” The listings also emphasized that “reflecting the diversity of the world around us is critical to our company’s success.”
