Marjorie Taylor Greene: “This Is Historic!”

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Among those celebrating this push for secession is Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who has long advocated for a “national divorce” between red and blue states. After the media relentlessly attacked her for suggesting such a split, Greene wasted no time pointing out the irony that Democrats in California are now the ones seeking to sever ties with the United States.

Greene took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to highlight the political consequences of California’s departure. “California Secretary of State has approved a campaign to gather signatures for a petition calling for a vote on if California should secede from the U.S. and become an independent country. Go ahead. That would mean 43 Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives would be GONE, giving House Republicans a HUGE majority!” she posted.

Beyond the House of Representatives, California’s secession would also eliminate two Democrat-held Senate seats, further solidifying a GOP stronghold in Congress. In her post, Greene emphasized the massive impact this would have on federal politics. “And 2 California Democrats U.S. Senators would be GONE making the Republican Senate majority STRONGER. AND if California secedes, the next Democrat presidential candidate would lose California’s 54 electoral college votes. California TDS patients could lead to their own demise. I’m here for it. FAFO,” she added.

The most devastating blow to Democrats, however, would be the loss of 54 Electoral College votes. California is the backbone of the Democratic Party’s path to the White House, and without its votes, a Democrat nominee would be at a severe disadvantage. If California had been removed from the 2020 election results, Kamala Harris would have only secured 182 Electoral College votes, far below the 270 needed to win the presidency.

For years, California has been a guaranteed stronghold for Democrats, contributing an automatic 54 electoral votes in every presidential election. Losing this advantage would force Democrat candidates to find alternative paths to victory, which would likely require winning states that lean heavily Republican.

The push for California’s secession is still in its early stages, and it remains unclear whether the initiative will gain enough traction to make it onto the ballot. But the mere fact that this movement has reached such a serious stage underscores the growing division in America’s political landscape. If California’s far-left activists follow through with their radical agenda, the consequences could be dire for the Democratic Party.

One thing is certain—Marjorie Taylor Greene is watching closely, and she’s more than ready to embrace the possibility of a Republican-dominated federal government in a post-California America.
