A new survey reveals that a significant majority of likely U.S. voters back the immigration enforcement raids launched during President Donald Trump’s tenure, signaling broad public approval of his administration’s strong stance on border security.
According to the Rasmussen Reports poll, conducted from January 26-28 among 1,229 likely voters, 57% support the ongoing efforts to locate and deport individuals residing in the country illegally. Among those respondents, 38% strongly approve, while 39% disapprove, including 24% who strongly disapprove.

Public Opinion on Sanctuary Cities
The survey also delved into the Trump administration’s aggressive crackdown on sanctuary cities, which shield illegal immigrants from federal immigration authorities. Nearly half—48%—of voters agreed that officials in sanctuary cities who obstruct federal enforcement should face prosecution, while 38% opposed the idea, and 14% remained undecided.
