Dan Bongino has long been one of former President Donald Trump’s staunchest allies, fiercely defending him against political attacks and media scrutiny. However, even he reached a breaking point recently—one that left him frustrated and resigned.
Rumors swirled early in Trump’s transition that Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and popular conservative podcast host, might be tapped to lead the Secret Service. Given his background and vocal warnings about security threats, many believed he was a strong contender for the job.
