“President Trump, as you know, the FBI says overall violent crime is coming down in this country,” Muir asserted.
The Biden administration claimed that violent crime had plummeted to a 50-year low, a talking point that Democrats and their media allies repeated endlessly in an attempt to reassure voters. But now, a law enforcement veteran has revealed how these statistics were deliberately manipulated.
Retired Nashville police officer Ken Alexandrow has come forward to expose the Biden administration’s scheme. According to Alexandrow, crime data was intentionally distorted to create a false sense of security.
“The way crime statistics are developed is that police departments around the nation send all their category 1 crimes, which are violent crimes, to the FBI. And then the FBI develops nationwide statistics,” Alexandrow explained. “But the changes happen when a new administration comes in, and they change the reporting conditions.”
The FBI categorizes violent crime as rape, murder, manslaughter, robbery, and aggravated assault. However, the Biden administration quietly shifted how these crimes were reported, ensuring the numbers appeared lower than reality.
Under Biden’s leadership, the Department of Justice (DOJ) transitioned from using the long-established Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program to the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS). The shift allowed the administration to conveniently exclude data from numerous major cities.
“If you ask anybody on the street, no one will tell you that they feel safer or that crime is going down,” Alexandrow pointed out. “However, it’s the job of any leader, whether they’re local, state, or federal, to make your constituency feel safe. So how can we do that? Well, several police chiefs and city managers have been in trouble for manipulating stats.”

He detailed how cities have historically removed specific crimes from their data to create a misleading drop in crime rates.
“A city may remove domestic murders one year, and then the next they’ll remove drug-related murders, so they’re taking two pieces of the pie out,” Alexandrow said. “So to manipulate their statistics, they take sections of the population out to prove that they’re doing their job.”
Perhaps the most damning revelation is that a staggering 70% of police departments that previously reported crime statistics under the UCR system never transitioned to NIBRS.
“And keep in mind, those are cities, including L.A., Chicago, and New York City, along with 45% of Florida departments, not reporting,” Alexandrow revealed. “When you have these major cities not reporting, you’re going to have a tremendous drop in crimes and, therefore, your statistics and your percentages will drop.”
The Biden administration’s manipulation of crime statistics has given Democrats and the media the ammunition to push a false narrative, misleading the American people into believing the country is safer under their leadership. But as violent crime continues to rage across the nation, Americans are seeing through the deception—no amount of cooked books can hide the truth.
