In a series of announcements Wednesday, former President Donald Trump revealed several high-profile nominations, including Sean Curran, the head of his personal Secret Service security detail, as the new director of the U.S. Secret Service. Curran, whose quick thinking played a critical role during an attempted assassination on July 13, has long been anticipated for the position.
Trump took to Truth Social to call Curran’s appointment an “honor” and to praise his years of dedicated service.

“Sean is a Great Patriot, who has protected my family over the past few years, and that is why I trust him to lead the Brave Men and Women of the United States Secret Service,” Trump wrote.
