In a dramatic turn of events, Linda Li, a long-time Democratic National Committee (DNC) fundraiser and former member of its National Finance Committee, has announced her departure from the party. Li, who played a pivotal role in raising a staggering $1 billion for Vice President Kamala Harris’s three-month campaign, is calling it quits after facing severe backlash for her recent criticisms of the Democratic leadership.
Li, who has been instrumental in financing Democratic campaigns, didn’t hold back in her critique. “The truth is this is just an epic disaster, this is a $1 billion disaster,” Li said in a recent appearance on Fox & Friends. She highlighted how the Harris campaign ended the election $20 million in debt despite the enormous sums raised. “They’re $20 million or $18 million in debt. It’s incredible, and I raised millions of that. I have friends I have to be accountable to and explain what happened because I told them it was a margin-of-error race,” she explained.

From Key Ally to Outspoken Critic
Since the election, Li has been the target of what she describes as a smear campaign orchestrated by members of her own party. She now refers to the Democratic Party as a “cult,” accusing it of canceling anyone who challenges its orthodoxy. “They’re shrinking their tent. They’re basically pushing me to bring my tens of millions of dollars that I’ve raised and can continue to raise to a different team that treats me better, that treats me with common decency,” she told Fox News.
