Elon’s DOGE: This Plan Will Save Billions!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

The Daily Mail reports: “The United States spent an estimated $70 billion in foreign aid in fiscal year 2022 to help economic development and humanitarian causes and other interests. And America has allotted a whopping $175 billion total in foreign aid to Ukraine alone since the outbreak of its war with Russia in 2022.”

Republican Rep. Ralph Norman from South Carolina stated that DOGE should “absolutely” focus on foreign aid, but maintained that Israel’s funding must remain untouched. House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer echoed this sentiment, adding that cuts should be applied “for every country except Israel.”

Former presidential candidate Ron Paul offered a more sweeping critique. On X, he posted: “Here’s an easy one for @DOGE! Eliminate foreign aid! It’s taking money from the poor and middle class in the US and giving it to the rich in poor countries – with a cut to the facilitators in between! Americans don’t want their government to borrow more money to spend on foreign aid. Besides, it is the immoral transfer of wealth and is unconstitutional.”

Musk responded positively to Paul’s comments, saying, “Would be great to have Ron Paul as part of the Department of Government Efficiency!”

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer is forming a subcommittee to work closely with DOGE. Known as the Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency, this panel will be chaired by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and focus on identifying waste, fraud, and inefficiencies within federal agencies.

“This initiative is vital to exposing the problem of government waste to the public,” said a spokesperson for Ramaswamy. “We are grateful that the House Oversight Committee has created a subcommittee to focus on this work.”

The subcommittee plans to streamline federal agencies, cut red tape, and propose solutions to eliminate bureaucratic waste. Comer emphasized that these efforts align with the Trump administration’s priorities to reduce inflationary spending and lower the cost of living for Americans.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, Comer framed these efforts as a direct response to Trump’s election victory: “Wasteful government spending must end, and taxpayers deserve to see their money used effectively and efficiently.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene shared her enthusiasm for the initiative, posting on X: “In the private sector, if you’re not doing a good job, you get fired. But for some reason, in government, bad employees—whether they’re failing to do the job they were hired to do or working in roles that are no longer needed—never get fired. This is incredibly unfair to the hard-working taxpayers of our country, and it’s about to change.”

As the new administration prepares to tackle America’s financial challenges, DOGE’s proposals have sparked both optimism and controversy. Whether targeting foreign aid or overhauling federal operations, Musk, Ramaswamy, and their allies are pushing to redefine government efficiency in bold and unprecedented ways. Only time will tell how these efforts will reshape the nation’s financial future.
