Woke Tyrant Chad Chronister DROPS from Trump’s Shortlist!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

These revelations left many Trump supporters questioning the advice behind the selection. The controversy only deepened as reports about Chronister’s record began circulating online.

In response to the growing uproar, Chronister announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he was withdrawing from consideration. “To have been nominated by President-Elect Donald Trump to serve as Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration is the honor of a lifetime,” he wrote.

He continued, “Over the past several days, as the gravity of this very important responsibility set in, I’ve concluded that I must respectfully withdraw from consideration. There is more work to be done for the citizens of Hillsborough County and a lot of initiatives I am committed to fulfilling. I sincerely appreciate the nomination, outpouring of support by the American people, and look forward to continuing my service as Sheriff of Hillsborough County.”

Chronister’s political history has long been a sore point for conservatives. In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns, Chronister’s office arrested Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne, the pastor of The River at Tampa Bay Church. Despite spending $100,000 on advanced air filtration systems to protect his congregation, the pastor was charged with violating public health orders for holding services. At the time, Chronister defended the arrest, stating, “Announcing the arrest of Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne, Pastor of The River at Tampa Bay Church, who intentionally and repeatedly disregarded state and local public health orders, which put his congregation and our community in danger.”

Chronister’s support for DEI programs has also been criticized. In 2015, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office launched a diversity-focused recruitment initiative to “better reflect” the community. Critics argue that such programs are a gateway to leftist ideology infiltrating law enforcement.

Another controversial aspect of Chronister’s tenure was his embrace of red-flag gun confiscation policies. In 2020, his office worked with the Tampa Police Department to enforce Risk Protection Orders, which some conservatives view as unconstitutional violations of the Second Amendment.

Conservatives have made it clear that a figure like Chronister has no place in a Trump administration. His history of liberal-leaning policies, particularly his stance on gun control and COVID-19 enforcement, alienated MAGA voters who demand candidates aligned with their values.

With Chronister’s withdrawal, the spotlight now turns to Trump’s next nominee for the DEA. This decision will be critical as the president-elect seeks to reaffirm his commitment to his base. As one conservative commentator put it, “The next DEA selection will be one MAGA nation can rally around.”
