In a recent televised confrontation on CNN’s “State of the Union,” California’s newly elected Senator, Adam Schiff, once again affirmed his controversial stance on alleged Trump-Russian collusion. Despite intense scrutiny and criticism from both sides of the political aisle, Schiff remains steadfast, asserting evidence still exists of collusion during the 2016 presidential campaign.
During the interview, host Jake Tapper pressed Schiff on the implications of his actions and statements as the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, questioning whether his assertions were excessive. Tapper highlighted Schiff’s censure by the House last year, emphasizing it was due to perceived abuse of power and overstatements concerning collusion evidence.

“First of all, it wasn’t an overstatement,” Schiff confidently replied, citing specific instances such as the Trump campaign manager’s meetings with Russian intelligence as outlined in the Mueller report. Schiff’s defense continued, “Mueller says that, too. He says, ‘The fact that we didn’t find proof beyond a reasonable doubt doesn’t mean there wasn’t evidence of conspiracy or coordination.’”
