During a Thursday evening interview with Tucker Carlson, President Trump criticized Liz Cheney, calling her out for her staunch support of U.S. involvement in overseas conflicts. Trump argued that Cheney, whose father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, was a key architect of America’s interventionist policies, is all too eager to send Americans to war while maintaining a safe distance herself.

“I don’t blame [Dick Cheney] for sticking with his daughter, but his daughter is a very dumb individual, very dumb,” Trump said of Cheney, firmly disapproving of her stance on foreign policy. Trump went on, “She’s a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with 9 barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it.
