MUST-SEE: Host BOLTS WashPo Set After SLAMMING Panel!

On Friday, a Washington Post live broadcast was thrown into chaos when conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt exited the show in protest, exposing what he called outright lies regarding former President Donald Trump and the upcoming 2024 election. Hewitt, a well-known conservative commentator, was joined by Washington Post Deputy Editorial Page Editor Ruth Marcus and host Jonathan Capehart on the paper’s First Look show, where the panel quickly clashed on Trump’s recent legal win in Pennsylvania.

Hewitt’s departure was ignited when Capehart attempted to portray Trump’s legal actions in Pennsylvania as a “weak” effort to challenge election outcomes. Hewitt firmly corrected him, insisting that Trump’s team had achieved a legitimate victory. On Wednesday, Trump’s legal team successfully extended early voting in Bucks County after reports surfaced that Republican voters had been turned away by election officials, contradicting Capehart’s assertion that the suit was merely a “ploy” to contest the election.

Capehart stirred the pot further, saying, “Is it me or does it seem like this week like Donald Trump is laying the groundwork for contesting the election?” He accused Trump of claiming “cheating” in Pennsylvania, accompanied by air quotes, referencing the suit filed in Bucks County. Marcus quickly aligned with Capehart, claiming Trump was “laying the groundwork” for a voter base ready to contest the election, dismissing concerns raised by the suit as merely “revving up” his supporters.
