In a dramatic turn in battleground states, AtlasIntel, a polling organization praised for its accuracy in the 2020 campaign cycle, has released a new survey indicating former President Donald Trump with the upper hand against Vice President Kamala Harris. The latest data, unveiled Thursday, positions Trump as the frontrunner across critical states, marking a pivotal shift in the race as election day looms.
The poll results, released earlier this week, stirred substantial interest due to unexpected results from North Carolina, where Harris eked out a narrow win, despite Republican early voting trends suggesting a Trump lead. “Our own poll also suggests Republicans will win the Election Day vote by quite a large margin,” stated AtlasIntel CEO Andrei Roman. “The only possible explanation is higher rates of Republicans and Independents voting for Kamala in NC than one would expect. Or perhaps Democratic turnout is indeed lagging and the poll result will be off because of that,” Roman added on X, expressing surprise at the findings.

Following up with a promise for fresh data, Roman acknowledged the surprising North Carolina results and revealed AtlasIntel would release updated insights on Saturday. “But I confess I am quite puzzled by this,” he remarked, hinting at a possible anomaly in voter trends that could influence outcomes.
