During a press conference on Saturday, Adams addressed the escalating accusations coming from the Harris campaign, which have framed Trump as a modern-day Hitler. Harris has repeatedly accused Trump of holding authoritarian views and has warned voters that his leadership would echo the era of fascist regimes. But Adams wasn’t having it.

“I have heard those terms hurled at me by some political leaders in the city, using terms like Hitler and fascist,” Adams said, according to Politico, before emphasizing his strong disagreement with the characterization. “My answer is no, I know what Hitler has done and I know what a fascist regime looks like.”
