As the 2024 election draws near, tensions are rising across the country, and in Pennsylvania, some Trump supporters are now finding themselves the target of disturbing and threatening letters. According to a report from The Post Millennial, multiple supporters of former President Donald Trump in the Philadelphia area have received anonymous letters warning them of potential violence should they continue to display support for the Republican candidate.

The letters, which are printed with a counterfeit Trump campaign letterhead, begin with a seemingly benign greeting but quickly devolve into malicious threats. “Dear neighbor,” the letters begin, initially thanking recipients for their involvement in the electoral process. However, the tone swiftly shifts as the writer issues direct threats, saying, “We know where you live, you are in the data base,” in an effort to intimidate voters.

The content of the letter claims to be written out of concern for the political climate in the United States, particularly referencing what the writer describes as political violence and threats to democracy. “We are writing with a concern about the level of political violence in the country during this election year as well as the threats to our democracy and freedoms,” it states. But this pretense quickly gives way to a rant aimed at those supporting Trump and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance.
