Vice President Kamala Harris, who was appointed as the Border Czar by President Joe Biden in early 2021, is facing increasing criticism over her handling of the ongoing immigration crisis. During a recent interview with Bret Baier, Harris struggled to address the overwhelming surge in illegal immigration that has occurred under her watch, instead attempting to shift the blame onto former President Donald Trump.
Rather than taking responsibility for the situation at the southern border, Harris pointed fingers at Trump, claiming his influence over Republicans led to the downfall of an immigration reform bill. The bill, she asserted, could have addressed the border security issue, but according to Harris, Trump’s involvement sabotaged any real progress.

Baier, however, was quick to push back against Harris’s deflection. He reminded the Vice President that it wasn’t just Republicans who voted against the proposed immigration bill. In fact, six Democrats also rejected the legislation. Furthermore, Baier pointed out that under the proposed bill, the U.S. would allow 5,000 illegal immigrants into the country each day, which would amount to a staggering 150,000 per month, or 1.8 million every year.
