Obama had earlier urged Black men to cast their votes for Harris, but the response wasn’t as expected, leading Harris to take matters into her own hands.
Earlier, Barack Obama took a bold approach in addressing Black men, saying they needed to vote for Kamala Harris. “You gotta vote for Kamala,” Obama told the community, in what seemed like an attempt to bring attention to Harris’s campaign. However, instead of galvanizing support, his message backfired. Many Black men criticized Obama’s attempt to guilt-trip them into voting for Harris, leading to backlash across social media.

One Twitter user expressed frustration, saying, “We’re tired of being shamed into voting for people who don’t deliver. Obama, you should know better.” The overall sentiment was clear: the lecture from the former president didn’t sit well with many in the Black community.
