In a dramatic turn of events, former President Donald Trump has surged ahead in two out of three critical Blue Wall states, posing a serious challenge to Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris as the general election approaches. The latest survey conducted by Quinnipiac University reveals that Trump now leads in Michigan and Wisconsin, states that are traditionally crucial for Democratic victories, while narrowing the gap in Pennsylvania.
According to the poll, Trump is leading Harris by 50% to 47% in Michigan and by 48% to 46% in Wisconsin. In Pennsylvania, Harris still holds a slim lead of 49% to 46%, but Trump has made significant gains compared to earlier polls. Last month, Harris was ahead in Michigan by 50% to 45% and in Wisconsin by 48% to 47%. In Pennsylvania, she led 51% to 45%, a gap Trump has since halved.

These results mark a significant shift in momentum for Trump, especially in states like Michigan and Wisconsin, which were key battlegrounds in the 2016 election. The Real Clear Polling average also indicates that Trump is slightly ahead in Pennsylvania and Michigan based on surveys conducted over the past month. However, Harris maintains a narrow lead in Wisconsin, though it’s less than a percentage point.
