Reports suggest the decision stems from an incident that took place just days earlier, where the rapper made a controversial statement during a performance following a Mariners’ baseball game. While performing “God Bless America” during the seventh inning stretch, Macklemore stunned fans later in the evening when he took the stage at another venue and shouted, “F—k America,” a statement that was met with cheers from the crowd.
