- Patty Morin, mother of Rachel Morin, who was killed by a criminal illegal alien.
- Mike Boudreaux, Sheriff of Tulare County, California.
- Tammy Nobles, mother of Kayla Hamilton, another victim of a criminal illegal alien.
- Alexis Nungaray, mother of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray, a victim of two illegal aliens.
- Melissa Lopez, Executive Director of Estrella del Paso.
- Cecilia Farfán-MĂ©ndez, Ph.D., affiliated researcher at UC San Diego’s Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation.
The hearing took a heated turn when Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX) made a controversial claim, accusing Republicans of exploiting these families’ pain for political gain. According to Escobar, the real blame lies with border czar Kamala Harris, rather than GOP policies or advocacy. Escobar’s comments sparked outrage among the witnesses, particularly those who had lost loved ones to the violence caused by illegal immigration.
