In a bizarre turn of events, two American astronauts, currently stranded in space, have reported hearing an unexplained “strange noise” coming from their spacecraft. The unsettling development adds to the challenges they are already facing, as their return to Earth has been delayed for months.
NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore recently communicated with Mission Control, describing the mysterious sound he detected aboard the Boeing Starliner spacecraft. According to a report by Fox News, Wilmore shared a recording of the noise, which he described as a series of pulses occurring at regular intervals. Holding his phone up to the microphone, he allowed the technicians at NASA to hear it for themselves. “Butch, that one came through,” Mission Control confirmed, noting that the sound resembled “a pulsating noise, almost like a sonar ping.”

The strange noise is reportedly emanating from within the Starliner, a passenger craft currently docked with the International Space Station (ISS). This spacecraft is scheduled to detach from the ISS on September 6th, with plans to autonomously navigate back to Earth, landing in the New Mexico desert. However, this recent revelation of mysterious noises has added a new layer of concern to an already precarious situation.
